can't say that sounds right, surely an inclusive service is just that - it has been paid for in the purchase price of the bike surely? Try another dealer over the phone?

How much were Wards asking?

I had to pay about £100 for the first service. I could have purchased a service pack when I bought the bike, which in hind sight I am glad I did not as the dealer is/was crap.
Another dealer is to far away so have it serviced at a local garage where the blokes are top fellas. Bridge Garage in Shrewton wiltshire.

My first service at Clarke's of Accrington charged me £80.00 that was over two years ago. The first 600 mile service a month ago on my GSR750 was £90.00

£35 ESB Bolton (parts/oil)
4000 mile service was £160!!
7500mile service they wanted £189 and that didn't include the recommended brake fluids etc so I took it to a local bloke (Bolton Motorcycle Workshop) and he did it for £125 including new brake fluid, caliper strip + clean, all the recommended service stuff and a good check-over. I know where I'm going next time!

I got my wee from george wards, good dealers imo, I paid £30 (oil and filter) for the first 600 mile service and £95 for the 4000 miler, both done properly. Having said that as soon as it's out of warranty I will service it myself.

I paid £155 for my 600 mile service, which I thought was going to be free, and kind of feel I got ripped off. That was with Rob Willsher, Lowford, Crescent Suzuki .

I discussed the service intervals with the salesman and at that point the service costs were made clear. I can understand that you would feel a bit miffed,  :angry-tappingfoot: after all you've just spent umpteen thousand £££s with them!

I will probably get the next couple done by main dealers to make sure that the warranty isn't rendered invalid. Then one of my mates will be doing the bits I can't. (He doesn't know this yet though... )

My current car (company) didn't need a service until 12500 - why do bikes still need a first service at all?

Not got a Strom anymore but when I took my new Suzuki GSX1250 in to Saltire for it's first service a couple of months ago it was completely free, as expected.

Is there any way we can bring this topic to the attention of Suzuki customer services? I'm pretty sure they would be interested.

600 mile service at M@S newcastle was £152 a month since ,and yes I did feel cheated especially after paying £20 for a ride on a demo bike.  ###  no doubt they will read this.
