idiot kids on scamblers
« on: March 16, 2011, 16:42:24 »
OK my pet hate has be sparked again.  :old:
the suns shinning and so the idiots on the estate are out in force... ###
one kid (L plates) is racing around the estate I live on with no lid pulling wheelies and attempting stopies, the small kids round here don't get outta the road when a truck comes up slowly, I think soon one of them is going to get killed... or the bloke on the bike falls off... if he does, I wish its right outside my house, I'd piss myself. but a shame for his family.
anyhows, the rossers should get here soon to sort him out, a couple of the little old ladies ain't happy and rang about him.
I'm quickly getting p'd off with the kids with no brains being allowed bikes round her! :angry-tappingfoot:

It's very very frustrating from my point of view "in my professional capacity".

Even more frustrating are off road bikes or bikes with no registration number.

If they don't stop for you then we can't follow them.  the kids know this and flout it horribly. :(

Bit of video sent to Plod, or just the you tube link would be enough evidence to remove the bike surely?

well the DVLA/DSA have been taking about scrapping L plates on bikes unless your accompanied by and instructor. ie. no more cbt and on the road. you've have got to pass your test first.
I think it'll stop the idiots that want a scoot or scramble to muck around on, but also stop the people that need a bike to commute but can't afford the cost of passing a test.
if they'd introduced it before I'd passed I would have been buggered, there was no way I could have got to work, so it would be a pity to stop L plated commuters but what's best in the long run?
then again if the idiots know if they pass their test they can have a bigger/slightly bigger bike and still be idots at faster speeds.
syciatric evaluation before getting a bike licence, I think we'd all fail that one...
try comming up with a good answer to "what is the true reason you would want to ride a vehicle that is inherantly unstable, slight imperfections in road surface can cause serious handling problems, no saftey impact bars that are standard in car- hence no protection, be extreamly hot/cold depending on time of year, cause deafness, little or no on board entertainment, and the highlight of the week is to ride into the middle of no where on a sunny sunday afternoon, pull over in a gravel lay-by and eat nasty food and talk to other ugly blokes dressed like you... head to toe in leather?"
OK I'm rambleing now lol sorry

did the video thing before xmas, one scooter and one blue scrambler (again) off the road. Section 57 road traffic act- one I heard was crushed cos his parent refused to give him the money to collect it.

They could just make it that if you are under 21 you need an instructor or someone with a full licence with you. Above 21 you get the benefit of the doubt that you'll behave more responsibly than a 16 year old. Seems a happy middle ground to me

yes! Juvecu, there's genius to your plan... and every kid that passes any test, car or bike, they'll have get used to driving with a more mature person that won't let them get away with crap driving. that way you won't have girls that pull right into my lane when I'm by their divers window, because there not looking at the road - she's doing her lippy in the rear view mirror - JUST LIKE SHE DID THIS MORNING!  :violence-uzi:
but then again, anyone at any age can be an a*sehole on the road.

Edit: I'm having a right mare the last few days, I do apologise for bitching alot, but screw it, anyone want to by a wee, I'm going back to walking, it's far safer!
but yes the rozzers did come round and asked if I was was the one messing around, one of my Neighbours told the police it was a blue off road bike with a rider waring a motorcross helmet! (I was about to pull off my drive) they then asked my neighbour if it was me... the answer - oh no he's OK, but he does leave early some mornings and the bike is a bit loud when he starts it.
thanks love!

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA - good old SWP.  Proud of them!  Persecuting the innocent reporting person.  "It was YOU who was riding illegally and dangerous and then phoned the police to report it."

Well done lads/ladys..... CID is beckoning.  leave the traffic stuff to the professionals ;)
