Well here goes...
I have spent most of the day either on or off the saddle of my 1050..and I must say what a complete and utter delight it has been to have NO SORE BUM.
I had a pillion passenger for the morning ride who has also spent time perched on my old Strom 1000DL 03 plate.
In her words
"I felt safer and more comfortable on the back of this bike it feels so much smoother. I thought at first because of the pillion position I would be uncomfortable and my legs would be cramped but I can honestly say I have really enjoyed myself".

I travelled to Harold Hill from Dagenham then onto Witham without my passenger and again no sore arse, I am utterly convinced the bike turns into corners by telepathy.... you think it and bam your there.
The gear change is VERY smooth no clunking or notchy feel which in turn made me feel more confident.
I have fitted a Osram NightBReaker head light which appears to make me seen from miles off as cars kindly pulled over to let me pass.
I averaged along the A12 80 mph and got according to my computer between 45 - 54 MPG which just about blows the strom out of the water..........
I am 6ft 6inches tall and at high speeds the touring screen was OK for me, some wind noise but with ear plugs manageable... could be a bonus in a hot sunny day to have some wind / also good for clearing rain off the visor .

Don't get me wrong I LOVED my Strom if you look at pictures you will see how it was looked after until the day of the off which killed her (insurance write off due to cost) BUT and there is a BIG but My new 09 plate Tiger 6000 miles on clock is a absolute DREAM to ride and economical and fast all at the same time she just purrs along almost effortless.

Just as a by note I had both the panniers attached going to Whitham Passing lorries at speed and at low speed were not an issue she was rock steady any wind effect was completely unnoticeable

that just about sums up my mood right now one very happy bunny.
I'm getting about 150 miles per tank & I'm not the slowest rider on long journeys.
