BMW k100 LT
« on: January 18, 2011, 22:51:59 »
don't shoot me, I'm looking for a k100LT to put my chair on so I can take my boy and dog touring. Would like something road legal but may consider a project.

I know of a K1200LT which needs a new home. It's been off the road for a year, 1999 "T" registration, 28,000 miles, nice condition. It's in Scotland. No reasonable offer will be refused.

Got a Vee already thanks. I did post this bike a year ago when it first went off the road - to explain - it belonged to my mate who died suddenly, his daughter has had lots to sort out and selling the bike has taken a bit of a back seat.

But she really needs to get it sold.

Hi FB,

looks a nice bike but I really need a K100 so I can fit a subframe to it that my sidecar can bolt onto. Thanks for the offer. Jim   :ty:

I don't know to be honest, I haven't discussed it with her but I'm guessing she'd want maybe £2,500?

It no longer has tax or MOT. It has been a few months since I started it and took it for a run around the block. When I started it it gave me a flashing warning light which immediately went off and stayed off as soon as it started moving - I think that's a low battery warning but she hasn't been able to find the hand book among his stuff so I don't know for certain. Other than that I can't find anything wrong with it but it would be sold as seen because she's not in a position to fix it 'cos she's a girly.

(Don't mean that as nasty - she's a smashing girly)
