I'm well overdue posting a picture, so here goes, 2017 V-Strom 650, 45k miles. Please excuse the state of it, it needs a good scrub to get the old XCP off. Yes, the glove is trying to escape!

Cool Cover thanks to crazyhorse and his generous acquaintance  :)

That is a great stable right there, the Strom is a very sensible choice and the MT-01 is gloriously bonkers.

Was a speed awareness course an option Ian?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I have finally got the cover off the bike, as it’s been hiding from saw dust while I work on my house in the garage. The brakes are still hanging by bungee waiting for me to clean them, a job for February once the garage is sorted. Made a start, tool board mounted yesterday, just need to organise which given the temperature in the garage isn’t a job I’m eager to do. Roll on warmer weather  :)
