crikey the cost adds up after a few clicks  :bawl:

would have been nice if they offered a boxed set which contains absolutely everything too - how am I supposed to impulse buy when I don't know how many of some of the thingies I need

Have you got a branch of James Lister near you? They are the best I've ever come across for stainless prices. If you only want one washer or one bolt they simply divide the price of a box of 100 by 100 and charge you that! Only drawback is you have to have a list of exactly what you want when you go in and if they're busy then they frown a bit. You also might have to settle for something slightly longer and trim to fit! Best approach I found was to get all the 6mm stuff on one visit, go home and fit and then go back again a few days later for 8mm. It' takes a bit longer but the savings make it worth it if they're close!! Appreciate it's only cost effective if you are very close to a branch but thought it might help!

http://www.boltmeup.com/ do good deals on bulk packs, I bought a few assortments from them so I can pick and choose. Just be aware that if you order packs of mixed sizes you will get a lot more of the smaller nuts & bolts than the larger ones. I've ordered tasynuts before, they are great quality but very expensive.
