New forum logo maybe?

Well I don't have photoshop, I spent all day trying to find a free copy on most of the torrent sites
but to no avail, so this idea I quickly knocked up with biros and a ruler so a bit crude,well,very crude.
but I'm sure you'll get the idea.

I'm not keen on the black background, a lighter colour would have been better and I obviously
didn't have any way of overlaying the "v-strom.co.uk" text on the design.
I think a round design would lend itself best to stickers and wouldn't look too bad on a t shirt.
I'm sure you could get both engine cc's on there somewhere as well.

Anyway, please critique away.

Is a new logo needed? I'm a graphic designer with Adobe Creative Suite. Don't mind having a go.

Personally, I thought the logo had potential. A few tweaks and you're there. (raggydan's not minkyhead's)

Its not that I thought a new logo was needed its just that andy vstrom asked if people
would be interested in t-shirts and the like with the present forum logo on and, in my humble
opinion, I thought that would be bit of a boring t shirt, sticker, fleece whtever.
A circular design lends itself well to stickers and also would be more prominent on a t shirt.
I think the design is OK it just needs putting through photo shop or something similar
to "finish it".
Cat the "eyes" you mention wouldn't look so menacing if the background colour was different
and I also think that laying the "v-strom.co.uk" over the headlights would be better.
Give it a go Rob. :thumb:
