Mesh seat covers - do they really keep you cool?
« on: April 11, 2025, 18:50:11 »
After todays ride in hot conditions I had warm legs and sweaty bollox 😱😂
Do these mesh seat covers actually work or would it be better to invest in some summer trousers with good ventilation?

Yes they absolutely work, they also make your seat more comfortable, although they do add a few mm in height and width, and they prevent rain pooling too.
I got mine from a company called sit n fly but there's loads of options.

A yes from me, too. Very effective cooling, and as mentioned the extra "give" in the mesh relieves some of the pressure on long rides. Well worth a try.
They also catch wasps.

Another bonus is……if it is raining heavily the water runs through the mesh and doesn’t settle in the depression your backside makes in the seat. Therefore you stay dry in your nether regions.👍

Firstly as other have said they do indeed work. I bought a cheap copy thing off ebay, it was OK but didn't fit that well. I then bought the original Cool Covers item, it fitted correctly and was twice as dense. You really do get what you pay for.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

That's great. Wasn't sure if it was just a gimmick, but the troops say not! I just ordered one from sit & fly, it was half the price of the cool covers one and is coming from Israel! 😳

Not sure if I am on the correct forum with this but,I saw a post earlier today about a member enquiring about a new spring clip for the rear brake caliper, but I cannot find it,and have searched everywhere I know how to.If anyone spots it please put it on here as I have found the equivalent identical Honda part, and it’s a LOT cheaper than the Suzuki one.
