Returning to the fold
« on: January 26, 2025, 12:10:35 »
Been away for a while riding the GSA and GS BMW's. Great bikes but lacking the versatility of the Strom's. Found my old 'go to' 650 wee Strom too small after riding the big beasts. Still have a GSA for the tours IAM and Rospa riding. Tried the new 800DE, absolute marvel. Tall as a GS but much more lively, also a lot easier on the green lane stuff. In the process of kitting her out with motech and other select accessories.
Semi retired taking it easy but happy to make progress. Riding with Suffolk Advanced Motorcyclists and RoSPA Advanced Motorcyclists.

:wb: I had a 1150GSA. It was great on the twisty roads and comfortable on motorway's but although it was well maintained, it wasn't reliable. Now I'm very happy with my V-Strom 1000 2014.  :thumb:
