Does the noise from the clutch also happen when driving slowly or only when stationary?
Ride safe .

The 650 can have a clutch rattle when the lever is pulled and held in, but the noise will disappear when the lever is let out, either with the bike in neutral or in gear.

This is well documented and perfectly normal, and mine has been doing that since I bought it with 24,000 miles on the clock. I have doubled that mileage since.

You seem particularly sensitive to the noises your bike makes, seemingly thinking everything is about to cause an issue, despite the entire VStrom range of bikes having a well earner reputation for bombproof reliability.

My suggestion is that you either get used to the natural sounds, that every single internal combustion engine makes, or do as I do and put in ear plugs when you ride.

Wishing you many happy miles in 2025.

I can only echo what NeilM says - Eyal, you seem to spend all your time worrying about your bike - just enjoy it and if it breaks down, take it back to the dealer!

If the noise fades when the clutch lever is pulled in then it is just a clutch basket rattle. They all do it.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can. Nothing travels faster than the speed of time.
