1050 dash colour scheme
« on: September 23, 2024, 20:14:08 »
Quick question as I’ve searched this site and the internet at large and can find no clear answer. I have the basic model (2020) which has the Casio style ‘light’ display dash. When I look at the XT model, it’s always shown with a similar dash but in a ‘dark’ version as shown below in the photos.

Question: is this a setting or is it a model specific dash colour scheme?

Been bugging me so any help would be much appreciated  :)

Unless there's instructions in the bikes user manual on how to change it , I'd suggest it's model specific.

I’ve read the manual and can only find a brightness setting, which seems a bit pointless when I’ve tried it. I knew the XT came with several differences but I didn’t know the dash was different. It’s only annoying as I prefer the darker look, but I will live with my Casio as I love the bike.

After a bit more reading, it appears you can invert the screen by fitting a ‘Linear Polarizing Film’ to the dash. A sheet of eBay is cheap so I’ll give it a go, can’t harm to try  :icon_wink:

If you use a piece of left over film in front of your camera lens, in the correct orientation, you'll never see the Speedo on your videos. Allegedly.
