I don't know which seat you have fitted at the moment but if you have a low seat and not tried the standard one, I think you will find the standard seat tall enough.

I had an operation a few months ago and a week or so later went for a short ride on my bike and found the standard seat too high and the stretch to the ground seemed much to far after the op. I bought a low seat off a nice chap on this site until I got over the op but have decided to keep it so, my standard seat could be for sale if you need it.

I am 6ft tall by the way and a few years ago owned a BMW GSA1150 with a tall seat and I loved it, I could see over most cars and I had more leg room but I'm sure I couldn't manage that now.

Anyway, if you have a low seat fitted now then I suggest you try the standard one before a high one. Hope this helps.  :thumb:

I use the tall seat, I find it much more comfortable than the standard seat, or a Sargent I had also. You do need to be tall though, I'm 6ft, wear 34 inside leg jeans( don't know the real measurement)  and I'm on tippy toes sometimes.

SW Motec adjustable footrests help also. In the standard position there slightly lower, maybe 10mm than the oe pegs and also more comfortable. They do adjust down another 15mm but your ground clearance goes to pot with lowering plates fitted also.
I changed to the standard seat last week for the mot, in case the tester was short, did 150 mile after the test and it was agony.  Back to the tall seat asap!

Tall seat is so much more comfy than the std one.. bonus is the legs are in a better position..
I am 5'11" and don't have an issue..
Did nearly 4k in 4 weeks away down though France and across Spain.. several hours in the saddle at a time.. couldn't have done it on the std seat..

I know I'm a stuck record on these but a mesh seat cover is a super cheap way to add 5mm or so to your seat height and a whole lot of shock absorby, airflowy when hot, no sitting in puddles in the rainess to your existing seat.
You may still want a tall seat as well but I'm 6' 2" with the standard pegs and seat (older model though which has a sofa compared to newer bikes) and, with a bit of judicious standing up every now and again, I can happily do 3 or 4 hours at a time.
