2022 1050xt
« on: August 22, 2024, 18:22:21 »
Hello people.

After heavy heartedly selling my 2002 DL1000 and moving to Norway, needed a quick hack for commuting to work. Ended up with a 2002 Honda Deauville 650. Horrible green color, absolute slap in the face after breaking up with my old Strommy.
Comfortable enough to ride and gets a decent mpg. But I guess those little Shetland ponies don’t require much juice. Now …
I really miss the Strommy. So I found a 2022 1050xt , black , first registered in 2023 as a demo bike. It has 2600 miles and got offered a pretty good price.
Warranty until 2028 . Should an ex-demo bike be a red flag ?

As long as the warranty is iron clad and the dealer is nearby....just in case. Then I can't see the problem. Just do your due diligence like any used purchase and enjoy.

It’s a new motorbike warranty. But will get more details on that topic tomorrow. The dealership is in Oslo, 300 miles away. But there’s Suzuki dealers nearby that would probably carry out the warranty work .

The 7 year Suzuki warranty is only valid if you have the bike serviced by an authorised Suzuki Dealership, as per the Suzuki schedule.

I’m sure if it was a demo bike, it would / should have been maintained correctly.

Make sure the stamps or computer readout is all there.

They’re great bikes.👍
