First proper outing, and I'm cheating on my V-Strom!
« on: June 27, 2024, 18:31:25 »
Taking my bike on its first decent run since I bought it last September. Couple of hundred miles South West to Somerset.

The reason I'm posting in Traitor's corner is that the destination is a Honda Adventure ride in Exmoor and I'm using a Transalp 750 for the day. I'm sure the V-Strom won't mind...

I did this course with my brother in 2018, before my RTW ride. It certainly helped. We were on 250cc singles which were great. I am sure you will have a lot of fun and we got to meet the great man himself, Dave Thorpe.

Dave Thorpe ,one of the greatest in my mind.
Watched him in the pits after yet another win, he was destroyed , flat out.He had put everything in, nothing left.
Yet when he raced seemed so serene and controlled. The mark of a champion.

Ah, cool. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Just the one-day course this time and using a TransAlp. Can see myself going back!!!

RTW ride?!? This is on my mind a lot lately. I'd be interested in reading the details...
