TRE fitting on a K3?
« on: June 04, 2024, 21:51:31 »
Could someone please tell me where the connectors are on a 2003 DL1000K3. Does the tank have to be lifted or taken off? Or can I get to them without?
Cheers

It should be just in front of the battery, I think it's the white plug in this photo.

Not sure which TRE brand that you are planning to install.
Have you searched on the Healtech site (https://www.healtech-electronics.com/) for their installation guide?

Thanks Mojo-Jojo, by george I think I found it! Its been cable tied to a load of other wires. I think I'll have to lift the tank though as can't get my hand in there.
Thanks again.

Yes that's the right one, it's a re-usable cable tie directly underneath the rear tank support bracket, there's a bunch of wires for stuff like the rear brake light switch and the TRE goes in line on the 3pin triangular connecter. It was tank lift to get to that connector on mine but I don't think I removed the tank completely.
