So I have been scratching my head as I just can’t pin point what it is I will go back to the beginning

Clutch was slipping changed it and I had a FI light come up how ever would come up, but I didn’t know about dealer mode so didn’t check it however wouldn’t come in until I started to get in to the motorways , but then once I turnt the bike off it was gone

I had drive about 400 km in the weekend on motorways and bike was incredible no problems what so ever

Then got home and had after market levers turnt up ended up being they were garbage eBay and I had to put the originals back on however the origanal clutch I took off I ended up breaking when removing 😩so I bought a Suzuki clutch assembly fitted it and then saw there was no clutch switch on it

I looped with a paper clip and all was good
10km later on way to buy new clutch switch that’s when the issues first started bike felt like it was running out of fuel, kangerooing , cut out then I managed to get to shop , bought the new switch however the problem didn’t go and I had to leave the bike outside that shop over night, then I have started the fault finding but to no avail, removed the fuel tank air filter , sprayed the secondary valve actuator but now after putting everything back I have c21 and c23 🥵😩😩😩😩

What I might do now is attach the aftermarket clutch to see if it’s the new clutch switch because with the aftermarket the issue hadn’t came up

It has been posted on here (greywolf) that shorting the clutch switch can cause problems.
Although it just looks like a make & break, with no other circuitry in there it does 'talk' to the ECU. I just wonder if running your bike for so long may have caused a fuelling issue?

Thanks Mick for the reply so this is what I’m wondering now as I’ve traced it back to when I first bridge it and it was after that I started getting the issues, my bike is now at -c00 I forgot to plug in the IAT sensor and that made the -c21 and C23 show , soon as I plugged it in it went back to -c00

So now it’s starting but cutting out and the line on the side of the -c00 is at the top left so I take it I need to sort out the idle speed however I can’t keep the bike running so can’t get it warm? Is it still possible todo without it running

Update I got the bike started keep my hand on throttle and it will stay running soon as I take hand off the throttle it cuts out my hand on exhaust back is burning hot front ice cold , so it’s running on one cylinder , only just found out there is also a spark on the front so now I will get that out and inspect

The front plug is the one that can get water ingress so do check that drain hole on the side of the engine is clear, when you reinstall the plug cap, make sure the rubber ring is pushed well home into the cylinder head cover.

So got everything back together and started her up and everything was perfect, before taking for a quick ride I left the paper clip in for the dealer mode, then 5 mins in got the c44 h2o censor , am I write to think this is in the exhaust? Just having a read up now , but the main thing is she drives again , and felt really nice 👍🏻

Yes, it's bolted into the exhaust, and also reassuringly expensive to replace. Search the site, you will see some of us have fitted an eliminator instead of a new sensor.

If you have had the bike in bits, the usual assumption is that there is something left unplugged.

I'd be having a good look around the areas I've had apart before going buying anything.

After looking at all your video uploads, from what I can hear I'd consider fuel starvation as a possibility.

Low fuel pressure will produce similar symptoms.

Between the pump and the main filter is a rubber grommet that can perish and split which will affect fuel pressure massively.

Try a fuel flow test if you are able,  the pump should produce between 1 & 1.2 litres of petrol over a period of 30 seconds.

You'd need to supply constant power to the fuel pump though and run a pipe from the pump connection into a measuring jug.

Ahhh! OK 😕 that can be this weekends Job! So my bike is up and running now it was basically all the rain water inside the hole for spark plug took off the ht cap and was full of water , I think because that front one is hard to get to whoever last changed the plug just tightened it finger tight and didn’t get the ht cap on properly , I ended up taking off the radiator so I could get in there proper and tighten it up properly , a bit of messing around but I’m starting to know my bike threw doing it ,  so as I stated I now have to oxygen fi light c44 but I could probably be 100% sure that it would be something from the works I have been doing because it was not showing a few days ago when I started all fault finding,
Where abouts is the c44 sensor located exactly ? Is it behind the left back panel ? If it is I wouldn’t have touched it because I was up the front end of the bike, could something else have knocked it out? I will look in to how to check the fuel starvation issue like I say I’m a complete novice but I’m keen and I’m educating myself daily , reading, YouTube , and forums … thanks for everyone’s help

Oh .. there you go, if that's the issue , no need to check the fuel flow test.
Glad you sorted that problem  :thumb:

C44 code , I think is the oxygen sensor in the exhaust,  maybe you've unplugged it ..?

There's a K4 (very little if anything will have changed) service manual in the downloads section if you've not already seen it;
https://www.v-strom.co.uk/downloads.htm

Should have sections on where connectors are and even diagrams for correct cable and hose routings. Sure you'll find the answer in there.
