« on: September 29, 2023, 17:41:36 »
Hi folks almost removed tank but am stuck on the last part removing the fuel line from the fuel pump I’ve watched a few videos and I can see am supposed to push to blue clips together and pull the other end but it won’t give up there’s not much on the clips to get a grip off is there a trick to it? Oh it’s a gen 2 650 vstrom

From memory, make sure the halves are perfectly in line, push them towards each other slightly, then push in the latches. That should do it. They are of necessity a very tight fit.

Happy to be corrected by anyone who still owns one.

Push the hose in towards the tank, then squeeze the blue tabs and pull apart. You need to  ensure that you pull it straight out, without twisting.

Bert I take it when am putting it back together I simply just push it in till it clicks? No need to push the clips together?

Yes just push it on and it should click when reinstalling. Before you reinstall all the plastics, start the engine if you're concerned and you'll soon know if it's not on right as petrol will spray out
