Enhancing lights for night rides
« on: January 27, 2023, 13:24:34 »
Hi there, just recently bought a Suzuki VStrom DL1050XT and joined this forum today. New to the bike scene having just passed my test in January. Find the standard fit headlight inadequate. Was looking to fit additional spots to front forks or engine guard, however was advised by a friend to perhaps look at replacing headlight bulbs as a first option with better quality halogen bulbs. Can anyone advise if they have found a good solution to this issue? Cheers

I trust that you have tried first adjusting the headlights?  Discussions like https://www.v-strom.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=39005.0 and http://ridershandbook.com/bikes-and-equipment/how-to-align-your-motorcycle-headlight-for-mot/ may be worth reading.
If adjusting the headlight aligment does solve your light problem, then add auxilary lights.  Threads like https://www.v-strom.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=39070.0, https://www.v-strom.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=40918.0 and https://www.v-strom.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=41777.0 may be worth a look at.
