What was your best Christmas present this year ?
« on: December 26, 2022, 13:45:29 »
As the title suggests what was your best prezzie this year ? It may be big or it may be small but which is the best ?

For me it had to be the Chilli sauce making kit. This will provide house of fun and no doubt several runny bottom's over the coming months!
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'

My best xmas present this year was undoubtably a pressure washer. Used it this morning on both bikes, now free of salt and looking like new (which they very nearly are).

This useful and thoughtful present was a gift from me to me.

I got a Keis heated jacket (fleece) to go with my Keis heated gloves!  With all the snow and ice, I brought a spare motorcycle battery inside and tried it out and to test how they worked. Amazing it was virtually instant heat!!  Should work really well on the bike!  The wife walked in and laughed at me wearing them in the house.  She's only slight, but I got her to try it, wrapping it round her where I needed.  OMG said she, I want one………..but you don’t go on the bike, said I………for when I go walking, said she………look a bit funny carrying a motorcycle battery round with you said I!!!  🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

re your post keith, my son has a milwaukee heated fleece with a smallish 12v battery in the back . works well for his work in a freezing garage and cheaper than a motorbike one. I have an exo heated vest which is good. the milwaukee one would be the best bet for your dearest.

A cheap pair of bike boots from M&P's, £20 on clearance kind of like a pair of Caterpillar boots but black and taller. (I Bought them, paid for them and even wrapped them!)
A pair of flip flops... in December!
And a paw patrol scalextric set... well it's for the 3 year old but the figure of 8 track is quite fun.

A Hope R4 light for night-time mountain biking which is c. 2,000 lumens. Last time I went I only had a 800 lumen light which made avoiding the trees interesting...

Money, and only money.
We stopped doing presents a few years ago. It takes a lot of the pressure off at Xmas.
We give our son some money and we give ourselves some money from our mothers who are both self funding residents in care homes. That feels good as their hard earned money is disappearing at the rate of over £5K a month, each. The Government tells us what the tax man considers an acceptable amount for such things. Funny old World!
