A12 south at Colchester approaching the 50 mph road works when the traffic ground to a halt. All except the black car in the outside lane which piled into the rear of a van with such a bang and I thought I'd been hit.  must have gone in at 50 without touching the brakes. Such complete twats out there.... may have been too close for my dash cam to pick it up maybe but I'll check later. Aspiring actors are given stage advice " keep to your lines and don't bump into the furniture". Should do for drivers as well.

What I found :- The camera had lost it's settings. The date was wrong and the recording setting was no longer on loop so it had not recorded for a number of weeks.  Good job I looked. I think it went into sulk mode when the battery was low and I removed it to put it on charge over a weekend.  in October.  :shy:

On the upside Andy you could ask Santa for a new van for Christmas?

Chimney? Father Christmas came down the chimbley when we were kids. Santa, on the other hand, has a "magic key" to gain access to chimneyless houses / flats. 'tis the modern way, I was reliably informed by small relatives. How you'd get the new van back out of the living room is entirely up to you.

Had you still been in the EU you could have asked Father Christmas, Pére Noel and Saint Nicolas to join forces.

Still no hope of a Brexit benefit..............  :fuse:
So how's it going so far then?

Thought as much .    :groan:

Just hope you don't end up out of pocket like we did, in a similar situation some years ago ..  ###

It's a crappy deal when you end up out of pocket for something entirely due to some other fecker's actions. At the very least you should be where you were financially and materially the minute before the prang. Then add compensation for injury and all the time, effort and money wasted chasing the progress of the case and all business lost due to said fecker.

Andy, did you ever find out who the other driver was? If not (or did and not insured) the Motor Insurers' Bureau (MIB) are supposed to be able to help people who have lost out or injured due to a hit & run.
You may know that already but......

Mick,

He was driving a company (sign written) vehicle, and he left his front bumper and number plate on the road.

I am fully comp. and have protected no claims so all should be well. I have already rejected the first offer from the insurance Co.

Yes Andy, I saw the post with the number plate but thought maybe the vehicle could have been stolen & false plates on it.
Good to hear you should be covered & hopefully the tw#t that ran into you gets what he deserves.  :thumb:
