I see a write off and a neck brace.

I hope you're fine by the way, if you need me as a witness again my usual fee +10% (cost of living etc).
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

:) Do you reckon they will write it off? The side has distorted (in places it wasn't directly hit).

Hope you're OK.
Was that self inflicted or someone else's fault? Hope it isn't too expensive to fix

I was rear ended. The bloke did a runner but perhaps didn't realise he had left his front bumper and number plate on the floor  :)

I'm a bit sore, nothing serious  :thumb:

Sorry about the gwddf dolur.
What a complete pain in the asyn.
I don't know how old the van is but if it's got some age to it it'll be written off I would think.
Let's hope they hang him up by his bollogaus.
Although as it's nearly Christmas they'll probably slap his wrist and give him a turkey.

Might be wrong but I believe if the repairs are above 60% of its current market value it automatically gets written off .

a quick check shows it's taxed with valid MOT.

maybe the driver was pissed/banned or no insurance

bad luck Andy. - it's a nice van, but vans being just a box, tend to have all the structural strength down low where it's taken all the impact. - If it's bent any of the main spars it's written off as it'll be far too much money to correct the damage.

I was going to make a joke about women drivers and was SWMBO driving, then remembered who you're married to and though better not  :shy:

These hit and run #ankers should be put in a pit and all passes by invited to #iss on them.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

That’s a real bugg3r. to be honest I’ve seen vans with less damage written off.

It looks like a Vauxhall van? If it is then writing it off may be the best thing for it. I read that the gearbox is a very week point and told my Son in law before he bought one. The gearbox broke. He now has a Transit and seems much happier. I hope the claim goes well, dealing with things like that when it wasn't your fault is a real bugger.  :thumb:

It's a rebadged Renault Trafic. I have had every iteration of them for years and they are a brilliant van.
