So a Strom only? Ugly lights and indicators. I don’t think I’ll be queuing up.

I think the beak should be bigger and those mirrors are far too small.

 lol

Pity it isn't a bit lighter, and looks very top heavy, even for a V strom
decent ground clearance though...

21 inch spoked wheel , for a road bike. Nah.
That's putting form over function.

Well that's a couple of new bikes to check out at MCL anyway  :thumb:
I quite like the styling but am equally unsure about the 21" wheel. 270 degree twin and 21" spokes seems to be the way of things post F850 though, I see the new Transalp follows suit. It's turning into 'Choose the badge' a bit sadly.

Looks like they've run out of the fugly square mirrors  :thumb:

I quite like it, and there was me saying there is nothing new on the market I'd consider buying a few weeks back.

Nothing F850 about 21" spoked wheels: there's a TS in my garage with one, and a 990, so it's nice to see the rest of the world catching up.
Pairing one with a 17" rear just seems penny farthing inspired to me though, so still some work to be done...

Ta Gassoon.
I like, seems a sensible approach to the change of the present model. I'm guessing a more road focused version will follow. It would appeal to me more than the 1050's.

Not too bad looking but tubes and a 21 inch front wheel plus it looks like the same old two pot sliding brake calipers would rule it out for me. I'd wait on the non DE version or get a 650.

Maybe the more experienced VStrommers can help me. Why call it a VStrom if it has an inline engine?

Call it anything but not V surely?

I have an R1250. R means Boxer engine. With an inline it's called a K or F.

Just a name: Suzuki are just trading on a brand they've built up a following for, regardless of what that name may have stood for at one time.

Grumps.....sorry but not all R's were Boxers.
Many early singles were also designated as such.

True. Same as a gl1000 and gl1800 (and the 1200 and 1500 inbetween) all being a Gold Wing. Different engines, different bikes, same aspirational naming and "pedigree".

Not P-Strom because Strom is the German for stream or current and you wouldn't want to ride a stream of P would you.

By being decades behind? Hold on: I think I'll go invent the wheel later, but one that will require transmission rebuilds with alarming regularity...
