New 'baby' Triumph spotted
« on: October 23, 2022, 14:18:52 »
One of the fine fellow's on the Tigger forum has spotted a new baby Triumph on final testing. Apparently the rider needed the loo and parked around the back of the services, well away from prying eyes, or so he thought. It looks just about fully finished so they should be out for early 2023. This could be a big seller for Triumph and a less expensive way into the brand, who knows ? Probably around 400cc would seem about right and it would then slot nicely into the restricted licence categories. I hope the silencer has some sort of finishing cover to go on the outlet !

It might look better when all the luggage is off and painted in a brighter colour but it's a bit of an odd concept. It looks almost retro but with modern wheels & suspension ? I think tail tidy manufacturers and exhaust manufacturers will love it.

As there's other 300cc bikes on the market like yamaha's R3 and MT03, Honda's CB300R and kawasaki's ninja 300 triumph want a piece of the action.

So .. I'm.going for a 300cc  :icon_wink:

£22 a year tax so it's got to be under 150cc.

I had heard they were going to release something smaller, a Cub perhaps. I would think they will release different CC's on the same theme and 125 to 400 is probably the sweet spot although like already pointed out 300 is also a popular capacity, is it possible that 300 cc is less taxed somewhere in Asia.

I am with Graham, a 125cc, the motor don't  look any bigger than our one. Think the tank makes it look bigger than it is. Also the exhaust has a slit along it like it's a cover hiding a smaller pipe? Either way Fugly 😆
