It took me a while to warm to him, but I really like the show now. Nice mix of different motorcycle themes.
Henry Coles book, A Bikers Life, is worth a read, quite an eye opener.

His antics are still annoying but I’ll watch anyway.

I saw Henry Cole a few years back at some bike event, he was waffling on about something and there was a little group of people standing listening to him tattle on, I dropped my head an made snoring noises... he kept talking so I walked off.  lol

I like the work ideas and the projects they do, but he makes it so it bores the living piss out of me.

Taken from another forum I'm on.
I can 100% vouch for Henry, met him a few times, he’s a really nice bloke, I can understand that his presenting style winds some up but he’s a really interesting person to talk to in the flesh, very patient with plonkers talking drivel and wanting selfies!, I’d have told one bloke to P off when he wouldn’t stop talking and showing Henry countless photos of his CBR600, but Henry was a gent and gave him his time, I spoke to him for an hour once before a show, I kept making excuses to go but he wanted to talk!!, he can definitely do that :), when I told him my father who was restoring a James Captain was down because my mother had dementia he did a video message for him to cheer him up and encourage him, now he didn’t have to do that!, he’s a great chap, try to get over the cheeky chappy camera persona and enjoy the show people :)
Here’s the message he did for my father.

PS the only truly annoying thing I find is the fact that he used to date Paula Hamilton (the woman from the old VW golf advert), now that is irritating cos I would have liked to date her!!

I've got used to his style, quite like him. I know he comes across as a bit of a Duffus at times but you can't question his enthusiasm about bikes and bikers.

I've watched a few of his different shows. His style isn't for everyone. I first saw his Worlds Greatest Motorcycle Rides on The Travel Channel. Back then I had my SV650 and didn't ride too much other than commuting. He got me thinking and over a time I have really got into touring. I've yet to venture beyond the UK and can only dream of going on some of the rides he has done.

I always thing Cole is trying to get the Mortimer & Whitehouse vibe into his programmes but he spectacularly fails every show .... it’s more like Wheeler Dealers ....... and stop using travelogue fillers and concentrate on the bikes .... come back Speedshop all is forgiven ....

Yeah, but no, but yeah, it's a  TV show for everyone who is not a Motorcyclist.

Have to disagree with the previous 2 posts. Each to their own but I think his style is very much his own, laid back but obviously loves bikes and bikers. I particularly like the diverse nature of the content, bit of riding, bit of modern stuff, bit of classic stuff, the rebuil/restoration, occasionally even a bit of off-road, I even like the travelogues.
Personally I'd find it boring if it was full of the latest tech laden wizzbangs and people popping wheelies.

His latest show included a review ride of the new "BSA Goldie". He said if he had been on an original Gold Star he would have arrived covered in oil. Well no..... Back in the early sixties  I knew lads who had gold stars and they didn't leak, they were not difficult to start and they didn't break down once a week. The only regular leakers were those bikes with tinware primary cases IIRC Norton Dominator and Velocette viper/ venom. He is not old enough to been around in the "old days" and his memories are sometimes borowed from myth and legend.

Probably a nice enough bloke but too much dis-information instead of keeping quiet about that he knows nowt on and a bit too much bodge it and scarper.
To each their own... lol

I quite enjoy the show, not least because a lot of it seems to be filmed not far from where I live, often recognise places I know.
