Possibly, if you haven't plugged them back into the loom.

What are doughnuts... ?

Lambda sensor most likely culprit. Check the connector and take for a ride, see if it goes away after a ride cycle with the replaced gaskets.
Diagnostic mode would give you a code to confirm perhaps.

When it's fixed, consider one of the these - o2 Oxygen Lambda Sensor Eliminator Kit Stainless Suzuki DL650 V-STROM 2012-2020 (Fleabay) - make sure you get the right version for your bike.

Just had this come on mine, 2015 650.
According to my handbook its Fuel Injectors.
Turned the ignition off for 10 seconds, fired it back up and the light went out.....anything to worry about? Precursor to a problem?

So .. you've had the FI light come on , done a self diagnostic test and it's indicating an injector body problem,  What code came up ?

Kwackboy, haven't done a diagnostic test, no idea how to.
Light came on, turned the engine off, turned it back on and the light had gone out.

May be wrong but are you thinking FI stands for fuel injectors ..?

FI stands for Fault Indicator..

Here is a link on how to diagnose a fault .

This link has a little more information of where to find the 'dealer plug' on other V-Stroms & mentions about keeping a key spare so you can keep the ignition on until you put the link in to grab the code..
I think the one kwackboy posted is for the 650??

Says in my handbook FI is fuel injectors.
Think I may confused, I'm talking about the red FI light on the dashboard.

FI red light on dashboard is the fault indicator. When there's a fault, it blinks/flashes in a pattern to indicate the fault. You can could the flashes and look up the corresponding fault, e.g. 2 flashes followed by 4 (which repeat) would be fault code 24.

The light should come on pre-ignition but go off once the engine starts.

It appears I posted info on the 1000 not a 650 but crump owns a 650 ..  lol
Not much difference in the diagnostic procedure though apart from the plug location.

@ UK_vstrom650 ..

That's the old style blink code procedure, crumps vstrom would need to have it either plugged in at a dealers or loop the two pins in the diagnostic plug to read a current fault .

My red light was on continuously, also a flashing FI icon in the mileage trip.

If the FI light came on and stayed on at any time, that fault will be stored in the ECU.
You won't be able to find out without pluging your bike into a diagnostic computer.

What I would do for now, if the light has gone out, use the bike as normal and see if the problem persists.

Don't worry too much about it, It could have just been an anomaly of some kind, it does happen, just keep an eye on it ..

Cheers all, yes as its gone out, I'll just keep an eye on it, it didn't run any different so hopefully just a glitch.
