They haven't ditched the XT, just the name. The bike that Suzuki has dropped is the standard 1050. The base model now has the adjustable screen and seat etc of the XT; the more advanced IMU with all the electrical gubbins with the addition of a Quickshift gear box. I guess the base will be more expensive than the old XT and the DE even more £. Why you need a 21" (tubed....) front wheel on a V Strom is beyond me....
