If John doesn't do it (I don't think he does) your only options is werks in US. https://werksparts.com/

That's is expensive,  think I paid £280 from John two years ago. At current exchange rate $665 must be nearly 500 quid. Did you get your clutch basket done or buy a new modified one?

You might get import tax on the return leg too.

Has anyone seen/ got a photo of a modified basket? I gather they basically fit an extra bush or bearing. Maybe it wouldn't be all that difficult for another nearer engineer to do.

I'm sure John posted on here ages ago the full process for modding the basket. You'd need to source springs, if I remember rightly

The basket looks no different when you get it back apart form using bolts and not rivets to hold it all together. You would need to take it apart to see what magic has been done inside.
I was talking to a chap yesterday that's new 2022 1050xt with 3k miles is away into the dealers for a new basket because of excessive clutch rattle. So fancy looking on the outside, same old same old inside!

I emailed the email from this link: http://www.vibefreev.com/contact.htm  a few days ago and haven't heard anything yet.

I too am looking for someone in the UK or Ireland to do the clutch upgrade. Picking up a 2004 Kawasaki KLV 1000 and it comes with a new clutch basket and springs to be installed. Would like to get the basket sorted before I install it.

I don't see myself posting it to the states to get upgraded so hopefully someone over here pops up!

Ahh forgot to mention its was $665 plus £150 import tax but if I send my basket back I get $240 refund I think of the top of my head but it'll not be cheap to send back to USA I suppose

There was company in Poland modding clutch baskets and I'm sure I found one in Germany (but couldn't find it again) - worth a Google to find somewhere closer to home/better value.

Oh yes the exchange thing he does. Gets you the part quickly I guess if a little bit expensive to begin with. Definitely send yours back, no duty to pay just postage.
Wasn't there a bloke on here a few years ago that had someone in Poland are some where that would do the baskets. He was looking for a group send. Never heard anything more after that.
Two years  ago I thought I was mad spending 300 quid on mine, seems it was a bargain after all!
