Again IMO I think it's worth remembering that the psychology of people wearing clothing with graphics on them is to say something about who they are / where they have been / seen / done and basically try to impress other people in some way.
The garment is very often a sandwich board for an enterprise or particular product but for people to buy it or even to wear it for free it does need to be a symbiotic relationship.
The tent you're using maybe looks looks like something from a sixties scouting weekend...
Oh and yes the Red Kite is a great idea
