Spent the morning swapping out my front sprocket from a 14 to a 15 tooth one.
Obviously a very tight front socket nut....... had to remove back wheel and pin the chain (see Del Boy's Garage videos) (only snapped one screwdriver!) and had to use my trust impact wrench to get the nut off, after beating back the deformable metal washer.
Straight swap and, even better, with the chain adjusters right forward I did not need to alter the chain length  :)
Bike feels much more likeable...... much less frantic at higher speeds and will easily do over 80mph now , well within the RPM limit.
Very pleased I have done it.
Even wonder if I might reduce the number of teeth on the Rear Sprocket (Wemoto do a 2-tooth reduced one) but this likely would involve a chain shortening procedure......may have to wait until Suzy needs a new rear tyre or new chain.

I upped the front sprocket by one and dropped the rear by one, now it sits at its at 60mph at 6500 rpm and if you need to get a move on at 8000 rpm it is at 72mph still 2500 rpm below the red line so hopefully its not working too hard, I have done about 7k so far with this set up with no problems. like you I find it alot more comfortable to ride

Did you find that it necessary to change from the stock chain length?
With the new sprocket combo, do you find that you have to slip the clutch a bit on pull away on an incline?

I didn't have to change the chain length, I worked on the assumption that the number of teeth was the same, the chain adjusters look about the same with plenty of adjustment.
I don't notice any difference pulling away on inclines or much difference to the acceleration either.

Hi, I found there was no need to alter the chain length after increasing the size of the front socket to 15 teeth..... just ahd to push the chain adjusters all the way forward and then adjust back a little. So easy peasy!

I went for two extra teeth on the rear..and of course a two link extra long chain !    First and second are short but the difference in 3rd 4th and 5th is superb !   78 mph flat out.
