Pannier Racks
« on: July 31, 2022, 15:01:01 »
Hello all,
I have a 2020 V Strom DL650. I am looking for some pannier racks and going to use soft luggage e.g Lomo 30l.There seems to be some racks for older bikes but not newer ones. The problem with soft luggage is the exhaust. I have seen racks that come out level with the exhaust but none that come out wider to keep luggage clear of any heat. Has anyone any suggestions please. The Givi 3112 series come close but do not clear exhaust and seem to be specific for hard cases.

Nick B.

On my last Vstrom I used Givi demountable panniers racks to keep the luggage secure and away from the exhausts. Then much later I bought the hard luggage to fit them

I have some rigid Givi racks on my 20 bike. Will check their part number

Does the 1000 DL-A use the same frame as the 650 DL-A?
I am not with the bike so can’t look at the part codes but looking at the Givi website it looks like the 1000-A Monokey pannier rails set that someone fitted to my 650.

I think these are what are fitted to my 650.

I've moved this from Introductions to somewhere you are more likely to get a reply.

How about positing an Intro too though?
