Going by the info on https://www.boosterplug.com/shop/boosterplug-Suzuki-dl-480p.html and https://www.boosterplug.com, there is a booster plug that has the correct connector configuration pigtails for the KLV / Vee. The first link contains downloadable bike specific installation instructions.
Not sure how accurate the following is, but an extract taken from another website: "To understand how Booster Plug works you have to understand that FI systems have two operational modes: Open-loop and Closed-loop.  The booster plug (and most other piggyback tuners) only work when the ECM is in open loop mode. The ECM goes into open loop any time the throttle isn't at a constant position. The second you move the throttle, it goes into open loop and the booster plug has influence over the fueling. This is why this device should have a minimal impact on your fuel mileage. You can trick the ECM into staying in open loop by installing an oxygen sensor bypass, which is basically a resistor instead of an actual sensor to tell the ECM there's a sensor there but don't expect any feedback from it. Usually this doesn't trigger an FI light on the dash but some models are getting smarter about this."

My other half had a booster plug on her f700gs, made a huge improvement to the on/off feel of the throttle.  We thought it was worth the money.
