DL1000 K5 Oil Pressure Water Temp Gauge Red Light Flashing on dash any ideas checked levels of water and oil and all seem fine :icon_exclaim: Any ideas Troops?

Came on tonight, pulled over and checked everything and then started and the warming light disappeared. I don't recall seeing either Temp or oil icon visible.

 If the cooling fluid and oil levels are good, then it is possible that it could be the FI warning light / dealer mode code alert to get your attention. The dealer mode code should guide you to a possible component malfunction.
 Put your ride into dealer mode and ride it while in dealer mode, to see if any dealer mode code is displayed. See https://www.v-strom.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3791.0 and https://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,7061.0.html   Note: If you switch off your bike the dealer mode will code will clear. Also make sure that the jumper used for the dealer mode doesn't short to anything else.
 Report back if you manage to read a dealer mode code other than C00.
Do you have access to a service manual?   Your KLV should be the same as a K4-K5 Vee.

I think we've got 'Cross Threaded'.
Your K5 Vee should be the same as the KLV1000 from 2004 (Kawasaki painted it Orange but otherwise it's identical) and there is a service manual for that model in the downloads section;
https://www.v-strom.co.uk/downloads.htm

Maybe the manual will give you some clues.

Thank you for this, as it happened I drove past a Suzuki Garage yesterday and I popped in, they plugged it in and it had 13 faults, so they cleared them and if it happens again we should be able to locate it on this occasion. Thanks for your help.

Sorry about the cross thread. It comes from looking up info on a KLV service manual to find a possible solution to a query on a K5 Vee.
