Businessman of the year?
« on: June 16, 2022, 19:33:22 »
I have been toying with the idea of getting the Bikerscampsite London Taxi remapped. I'm not looking for a racing car, just a bit of help getting up the hills of Wales.

Today, I called and spoke to Elite ECU's in Neath, Swansea https://eliteecus.co.uk/ and was given a price of £175. I agreed and he asked me to text him so he had my number.

I do as I'm asked and get a response saying that I have contacted him before, some weeks back. OK, says I, I don't remember but it is very possible. He says that back then he quoted £195. OK says I but it's for the same vehicle so can I assume the the quote you gave me an hour ago is the current quote?

Then he tries to haggle, as if he is doing me a favour and offers to 'split the difference' (£185).Of course I said no. OK, then let's leave it says he

After your recent experience with garages and variable quotes, I'd imagine you won't be having a single spanner twirled without a written quotation. Chiselled into a granite slab, preferably.

Maybe there's
a - local rates
b - regional rates and
c -  London rates. This is for anyone who sounds like they come from anywhere in the south east..
My brother experienced this price structure while he was living in west Gloucestershire and later in Pembrokeshire.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Is it a TX2 or a TX4?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

And to think you could have got it paid for with an EU grant for growth of tourism for your business and lots of local and regional benefits too.

So how's it going so far then?
