Several warning lights
« on: April 29, 2022, 21:33:10 »
First ride after fitting new front tyre; after a few miles ABS light on.  Soon after a misfire began, accompanied by flashing TCS light. Next came multifunction indicator light.  All three then on together, plus flashing F1. 2017 DL650 XA.
Any suggestions please?

Check the wheel is fitted the right way round with the ABS ring opposite the sensor, check the ABS sensor hasn't been damaged and check any wiring to the ABS sensor.

A roundabout way of saying it sounds like an ABS issue.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

You also need to have a look at the fault code that is behind that FI.

Agreed .. what TL said ..

Seems a bit of a coincidence the problem has arisen after the back wheel was removed.

Thanks to all for your suggestions, right on the money!
Mea culpa - Roger, good bloke and proprietor of Fred’s Motorcycles in Blandford Forum, quickly spotted that I had nipped the ABS cable when tightening the brake callipers, causing a short.  Hence all the pretty lights.
With the cable repaired, all is well and I won’t miss my ferry to Cherbourg

Any before and after pix that you can share of the damaged section?
