It's been rejected as a national policy. Bounced back to individual local authority level to decide. Not much change there, then.

Agreed, it's a shame that more motorcyclists didn't sign the petition, there are after all 1 Million motorcycles registered in the UK. It might also help if people got off their backsides and help support MAG to help them lobby Government for their right to ride, and to give weight to MAG's efforts. But I guess having to pay £27.00 a year for someone else to do all the running around on their behalf, is just a price that's far too high to pay, just a lot easier ( and cheaper) to let someone else pay their subs, and then sponge off them.

If it wasn't for MAG we'd all have the Peter Bottomley leg protectors kneecappers on all our bikes.

And this is why we continue to get more anti motorcycle legislation aimed at us. I wonder how many motorcyclists use the Dartford crossing, and others FOR FREE. These and others, are FREE for motorcyclists to cross as direct result of input from MAG.
I wonder if those people who cross the Dartford Crossing daily, and others even think about joining MAG.
I somehow doubt it, but they're more than happy to keep the money in their pocket, rather than help MAG. Thanks MAG for saving me shed loads of money over the years, but I can't join as I'm more than happy to let other people pay the money in order for me to get the benefit.

Well that's not very nice is it. And talking about people coming across as a bit of a Dick, maybe you should stop banging on about owners who have beaks on their bikes. They like them, you don't. As you correctly quoted Chill out, it's your thing, it doesn't have to be theirs.

Define Free others ?

Despite the change in tone of this thread, I'll assume this is a genuine query ;)
Humber Bridge
Tyne Tunnels
Tamar Bridge
Dunham Bridge
Mersey Gateway Bridge

* Source of information was the government website rather than an alarming level of general knowledge :)

I was just curious to be honest as I've used Humber and Dartford in the past month.
Living in Sheffield, I do find it hard to remember I don't have the right to use Bus Lanes everywhere I go, spoilt here in the People's Republic of South Yorkshire :)

If people don't like it, they can take the Halifax approach.

Last Tango in?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.
