Machynlleth to bikers campsite route recommendation

So we are heading down to the Bikers campsite tommorow.I have been tasked with leading the group from Machynlleth to the campsite,any must do roads you think I should take en route ?

The only route is really just the A487 to Aberystwyth then down the coast.
