Fuel pipe brands?
« on: April 05, 2022, 12:58:07 »
Hi, just a quick one.
Want to order some fuel line tonight so can work on my throttle bodies...
The line I took of has disintegrated... the bit that's left over in the garage appears fine.
Was on the bike for 3 years. 1 year ridden and 2 stood.
What brands do you use?

Bought mine from Vehicle Wiring Products in Ilkeston, they stock high pressure fuel hose, check their website.

Yeah, make sure you use high pressure fuel hose the usual stuff will not be suitable for the high psi with fuel injection.

Also get the correct clamps, normal jubilee clips are not suitable.

Most car parts supplieres will sell it, but you'll need to know the diameter required and it'll likely me sold by the meter.

There is definitely some sketchy stuff about that is sold as "ethanol resistant" etc., one lot I bought for my classic bikes off a stand at Copdock show was particularly bad, after about 2 weeks use it was hard as anything. Now I only buy Cohline brand as that definitely seems very good quality, I get it from Glencoe Motorsport as that ensures I am getting the genuine stuff not some Chinese fake.

I should've added, Vehicle Wiring Products also stock the correct fuel hose clips - sorted the short hose between the throttle bodies on my 1000K7 (the crimps slacken over time with a resultant leak).

Mmmm Tried adding a pic, Hit the post button and just get a blank white page..

I know  Vehicle Wiring Products in Ilkeston, I'll have a look at their site.

Someone's been at the throttle bodies and nicked the secondary's!
Thanks for the replies...

The file size for the photo may have been too large to upload, reduce the size and repost it.
