V-strom 650 (2009) gear shift lever
« on: October 24, 2021, 20:10:47 »
Hello. I'm new in VStrom world. So maybe You can help me with some experience... Want to change my gear lever. Would like to get adjustable one. Sw seems freakin expensive. Any other optiions? Or is the SW worth every penny? Maybe there are some links I can use to look it up? All the posts are quite old. Thanks

I've seen some cheap one in the past on ebay... but cheap and nasty... the gear lever is a critical part  and if it snaps you're not likely to be riding home.

Mine bent in an off road session and was quite wobbly. I replaced it with 2nd hard oem part.

There is a DIY mod that could serve as an interim that one could consider, until such time that you can manage to source a suitable aftermarket adjustable gearshift lever. Have a look at the pix in reply #6 of https://www.stromtrooper.com/threads/extension-of-foot-levers-for-shifter-brake.432681/
