finest biking weekend in a very long time and what did I do?

I went to hospital and had a plate fitted in the wrist I broke last weekend!

no more riding for ages! bugger! bugger! bugger!

PS no I didn't fall off my bike, I tripped over a kerb while watching the NW200 racing in Norn Iron.

PPS thanks to Causeway hospital in NI and Hairmyres hospital in Scotland.

I took a ride down to Weston Super Mare today and put yet another coating of bugs on the bike.... only stayed there for half an hour and came home because it was just too hot for me. I was sweating my nads off in a summer leather and draggin jeans.
The amount of blokes I saw today riding in just tee shirts and ordinary jeans was unbelievable, most of them on sports bikes. And of course cruiser riders riding in a tee shirt and a leather waistcoat.

I went to Cupar Motorcycles (Suzuki Dealer) this morning to have the bike hooked up to the Yoshi box. they charged me £50, compared to the £200 Saltire Suzuki in Edinburgh quoted

they adjusted the low and mid range by 5% - sounds like quite a lot to me. it now pulls like a train

however, my problems with it hiccuping around 2800 revs persist!! :bawl:

I took the Wee to Mount Motorcycles in Port Talbot for a service. The service took about two hours and then I spent a good couple of hours in the twisties

Not today, but Saturday 26th, rode up to Boston in Lincs, stayed at a very friendly B&B and visited friends on Sunday when it chucked it down all day.  Came home via the Heritage Aviation Museum nr Horncastle on Monday (Excellent  :thumb: ).  Only 300 or so miles in damp conditions over 3 days but Me & Mrs E enjoyed the ride, nice to get away for a while.

yesterday I flew to manchester from belfast, bought a 250 superdream (ebay) and rode it back up to stranraer for the ferry home.  Not the first time taking one of these dreams a bit of a distance.  great trip about 220 miles and its amazing how many people who have had a superdream. I was speaking to a cop whilst waiting for the ferry and he had one and then this old bloke jumped out of his motorhome and was over admiring it talking about the old days.

Great craic it was!!! :auto-dirtbike:
keep er lit!

I had one too, it was an underpowered, overweight lump of shite and it's petrol tank rotted right through 'til the petrol ran out of little holes. I had to strip & clean the brakes every few months to stop them seizing.

Had a great run out around the Saddleworth Moor area, taking in Rishworth, Denshaw, Delph, Holmfirth etc, with my instructor Dave Brook, training for the IAM test which is hopefully just a few weeks away now. Quite a few bikers out braving the chilly air.

Nothing because it is throwing it down with a vengeance.

Yesterday took advantage of a brief weather window and took Lady G for her first run on the newly acquired Wee, went to take my mother her birthday present.  Found that the twist grip rubber on the newly fitted heated grips was fouling on the bar end weight so that the throttle didn't snap shut.  Should have checked before going out   . Other than it was a lovely run out round the back roads of Lincolnshire.  On my return I attacked the offending item with a Stanley knife and now all is well.

Did a few miles out in Northumberland, up the Military Road paralleling hadrians wall. Tried my phone sat-nav (Nokia X6) for the first time ever with any satnav to see if it could get me home...It was wrong within 200 yards! then it got confused at a (admittedly fairly new) bypass on the A69 near Haydon Bridge. Luckily I was enjoying the ride anyway so just had a laugh at it, but if I was in a foreign country (Wales) I'd have been effing and blinding!
Bike seems twitchy since I lowered it 25mm at rear and droppedforks...and maybe time to get some new tyres...
Thermal lining in jacket, first time in months and months...ho hum!
But a great little blast!  :)))
