Strange noise
« on: March 14, 2010, 12:08:51 »
HI blokes.
I hope you are all well.
I just bought a 2005 DL1000 as an upgrade from my DL650 as I loved that bike.

I am very happy with my new bike and it's only done 5000 miles so lot's of life left in it...
But.. when riding slowly under 40mph I can hear a ticking noise similar to the noise an automatic watch would make, I have took the bike to a garage but they told me that they could not hear it.

Any chance someone knows? I have to say that I never got that noise on my 650..

Thank you

I had a similar noise on my wee, turns out it was a seized link on my chain! It might be worth a look.

That sounds like the noise you get when there is a nail sticking in your tyre. Have a good look at them NOW!

I have checked and both tyres are OK...and I have cleaned and lubed the chain today and could not see anything strange there.
It's a very annoying noise licke a ticking / clicking but the bike runs well.

Any help would be appreciated
