Torque number required please
« on: February 10, 2021, 18:25:43 »
I’m hoping someone can help. I’ve mislaid the fitting instructions for the genuine Suzuki top case, please refer to link.

https://shopbikes.Suzuki.co.uk/adventure/v-strom-1000/luggage/93300-31820-000-integrated-top-case.html

When I fitted it, I’m fairly sure there was a specific torque setting for the two bolts closest to the pillion seat. If anyone knows I would be grateful.

Thanks in advance.

23 Nm is not a lot, but I guess it is to protect the winding. When I mounted my (not original) Shad topbox, I noticed that the original screws for the luggage rack had some kind of locktite on it. Maybe a good idea to secure it from shaking loose.
