Sure it looks like it's in the right place and the engine turns over, but she won't fire!
Though my model wasn't affected the CCT's on Firestorm, Varadero and many of the fireblades used to fail all too frequently.
And the Honda reg/rec and starter solenoid failiers, and the brakes binding with the combined brakes systems back in the 90's.
to be honest a sticky switch, albeit annoying, particularly on a new bike is a little trivial in the grand scheme of things.
All a dealers would do is squirt a bit of WD40 in the switch, wiggle it a bit and give it back.
And I should know. I used to be one of the ones that got given these sorts of jobs
