Embrace the beakiness.
« on: November 23, 2020, 08:22:30 »
After 3 years of umming and arring it’s finally happened, having sold my r1100gs 6 weeks ago I started looking in earnest.

Yesterday I put a deposit down on a 2018 650 xt and very nice it is too, sadly I won’t be picking it up for a while as we’re in the middle of a major kitchen refit and the garage is part of it.

Excited, yes I am - as my grandson would say wahooooo!  :text-woo: :happydance:

Your garage is in the kitchen?

Not quite, the kitchen is encroaching on my garage but looking on the bright side there will still be plenty of room for my bike and also a fridge with cold beer in the garage!

I hope so, it was a bit of a leap of faith buying one as I'd only ridden a brand new demo model for a few miles.

Kitchen encroaching on your garage sounds like the thin end of a wedge....there's a need for vigilance methinks.
I traded in my CRF1000L for a '17plate DL650 (wishing I'd never sold my previous V Strom). Haven't regretted it at all - this time, the V Strom's a keeper! Enjoy yours.

I did the same, DL650AL3 (4 yrs), CRF1000L (2 yrs) then DL650AXTM0 (5 mins)
Looking forward to Lockdown 2 (the sequel) ending  :sunny:
