Xtra high beam ligts for the 1050
« on: November 21, 2020, 20:15:45 »
Hi.

I find the lights on the 1050 to be better than on the 650. Even though, I would like to get extra light when using high beam. Can any of you recommend a pair of extra high beams for the 1050? The bike is not an XT version, so I have no crash bar (and not going to get either).

SW-Motech make brackets that mount spotlights to the side of the headlight product no WEF0 https://sw-motech.com/en/products/safety/additional+headlights/light+mount/4052572182499.htm

This is exactly what I am looking for. Have you seen the light? Does to provide usable extra light?

I haven't seen their lights, and I can't remember who it was on here who had them on their Glee/Veek. Just recalled someone mounting lights there using those brackets.
I have some cheapish lights mounted low down on my crashbars which do a good job of providing additional/wider illumination. I have mine pointing downwards as they were dazzling oncoming drivers and lighting one of my neighbour's house from over 150m away on a flat road, so these LED lights are powerful. If you mount yours high ensure you do wire them into the high beam or you'll blind anyone coming towards you.
