Suzuki DL650 VStrom X AL7 2017/17 - SOLD
« on: August 17, 2020, 14:53:09 »
Hello All, my first post on the Strom site, I have a nice 2017/17 DL650X AL7 for sale, it is advertised currently on e-bay but quite frankly after 24hrs it is a painful world of dribblers, window lickers and general pillocks. So offered here if anyone interested as at least you appreciate the world of V-Strom..
The bike has covered 19,100 miles with full service history, panniers fitted, hugger fitted, Datatag, 2 keys, all books service stamps etc.
If you are genuinely interested please PM me with any questions. I have only had the bike a short time but it's not my brew. It does need a new front tyre as its low, the rear is fairly new and I have just fitted new rear brake pads. You can see the full ad on the 'bay'..
I'm looking for £4400 ono, mot till April 2021. I am based near Harrogate N Yorks.
Thanks for looking, Stephen.

Just so you know, there are plenty of dribblers, window lickers and general pillocks on here too. Bike looked good, though.

Non taken.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Give Steve another 2 years & he'll maybe come by again to buy or sell something.

I reckon he bought it after only seeing pictures from the rear. Once he saw that daft beak and missing headlight he was rightly horrified  :smirk:

Yeah beaks and single headlights don't do it for me.

Interesting to see the rear wheel nut is on the opposite side to the Glee model?

I suspect that it can go either way round - been a few years since I had one in my hands though. Perhaps one of the people who worked on it decided it would be better that way around?

Hmm, from my engineering background you always fit things so worst case scenario they do themselves up...
So to satisfy my OCD  lol
1) Bolt/shaft sprocket side & Nut disc side
The wheel would turn anti-clock-wise (sprocket side) and the bolt / shaft would turn clock-wise, on the other side the wheel would turn clock-wise and the nut would turn clock-wise.
2) Bolt/shaft disc side & Nut sprocket side
The wheel would turn clock-wise and the bolt / shaft would turn clock-wise, on the other side the wheel would turn anti-clock-wise and the nut would turn clock-wise

The thing for me is that the shaft should be going in the direction of tightening, so next time I adjust my chain, I am turning the shaft around...  lol
