Centre Stand

Just thought I might pass on some thoughts/tips on fitting the Cosmo centre stand (might apply to the OEM one also). Firstly it is a nice piece of kit. The only thing I would say that is missing is washers, there are spring washers included, but they tend to distort. I replaced them and added washers of the correct size. The instructions sat to fit the left side then put the stand and right side on, but I found it was almost impossible to get the bolts into the right side, and when I did the stand was binding and would not return without a good shove. So I found the following worked.

1, fit left side bracket but very loosely
2. Fit stand and right side bracket again loosely
3. Tighten the bottom bolts on both sides, but keep moving the stand, there is some tolerance and I found that doing this keeps the stand in line and stops it binding
4. Tighten top bolts.

As I mentioned I added a few additional washers to stop the spring washers getting crushed (and used loctite)

The kit, it is nicely made stuff.
