2017-2019 Electrics
« on: July 25, 2020, 08:35:56 »
Sometimes reading forums doesn’t do your mind much good. I’ve read on here that whilst Suzuki mechanicals are first rate, the electrics are a weak point.  Now, I think the post might have been referring to an older 650 which according to the post, hasn’t a robust way of connecting wires.  Is this so on the later 1000’s or are these wired more robustly. I’ve also read about some recalls to 1000’s around MY 2014-2015.

Just asking as I’m quite a curious type.

I had a 2015 Sport and that had quite a few electrical recalls so work should have been done on all affected bikes. The worst bits were the exposed plugs and sockets that sat on top of the radiator. My 2018 1000XT looks a lot better  :thumb:
