Thinking of buying another V-Strom
« on: July 24, 2020, 23:28:25 »
Its been a while since I've posted here, I bought a CB1000R last year and thoroughly enjoyed it until a few days ago when I got knocked off it coming to a stop.

I'm tempted to buy another DL1000 but I'd be interested in hearing opinions of the latest 2020 models while I make up my mind on which bikes to test ride, the only other bike that's caught my eye is the BMW F900XR but any recommendations for new bikes up to 12k would be greatly appreciated.

Can't advise you on this but commiserations and best wishes for a full recovery.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Triumph 900 range, I test rode one recently definitely worth a look and fits right into your budget. Hope you make a fast recovery.

Here is what I thought of the 1050XT -- https://fliesonthevisor.com/Suzuki-v-strom-1050xt-road-test/

KTM are currently discounting their 2019 models by silly amounts

Triumph are holding on to the 900 prices

Just starting to see Suzuki 1050XT demo bikes getting decent discounts. There is a Yellow on for sale in Nottingham that spent 3 months in lockdown and other than being registered hasn't turned a single mile.

I trust there are no injuries from the unscheduled dismount.
