Wee Strom 250 luggage
« on: April 10, 2020, 17:09:15 »
blokes,
Is there any one fitted the shad ‘smallish’ side cases to their bike?
I only need them for trips to the shop, so as long as I can get a 4 pint of milk, bottle of low flying and some few other things, is the quality any good? Seems cheap £300 with mounting kit.
TIA, Jonah.

I've fitted shad luggage to a few bikes and can say the quality is good enough for what you want.

£300, that makes a pint of milk very expensive, no?

Also are bike shops open or just ordering online and waiting for delivery?
So how's it going so far then?

I have the Shad E48 semi-rigid Sport Bags

They are very light and versatile and good quality especially considering the price.

The photo first posted shows the shad 36 litre cases which will take a helmet with ease. The smaller 2 litre cases use the same frame but a different rubber block at the end. It is taller as the locking mechanism fits into it. The usable space is small due to the inner shape of the case as it has to fit many bikes, but they are light and come with a spare lock to key code your top case. For some reason the locks between the 36 and 22 litre cases are different. On the smaller case you need to use the key each time to open it. I’m happy with them for general use but will use my larger cases to tour.

Thanks for the info, I wasn’t sure whether the bigger cases would look out of place on the smaller bike.
I think they do look quite unobtrusive, shame about the key thing, but it wouldn’t bother me.
