Rear Brake Pad Retainer / Shim 2018 650

Changing the read pads on my 2018 650 recently, I noticed that the small horseshoe shaped retainer / shim that sits between the pads and the alloy carrier had broken one of its legs off.
Looked at the parts manual (Fig 555A) and it shows the retainer as not being available separately from the carrier (part number 14). Can't believe that I might need to buy the whole carrier for a small part that looks like it would cost a couple of quid separately!
Has anyone come across this, and knows of where to source the retainer shim only (I wonder whether if might be a common part for the same caliper used on other bikes / brands for example)?
Thanks in advance.

If its the weird shaped spring that goes in the back before the pads slide in, its a common part on nearly every Suzuki bike in the last 15 yrs.Should be Pt.No. 6911506G00.£9.26p from MSP Motorcycles.Or a breaker might have one.2018 bike, you could try warranty poss.Do a search for that number, you never know your luck.If no luck post a picture.

If you mean the clip in part 14 in the attached, then it looks like breakers yards are your best option, even if it's a whole (cheap) caliper off eBay...

Sorry team,I picked the wrong clip here, these are made from unobtainium as I tried to get one when I put my last set of pads in.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, it is the clip shown in part 14.
Very frustrating that it is not listed separately!
I'll keep digging, but in the meantime, if anyone here has found a source, I'd be grateful if you could chime in.
Cheers

It could be worth contacting Powerhouse as they do a brake refurbishment service so may have a supply of those parts?

I had that problem once on DL650 L2. Found out that Honda uses same pads on some of their bikes. Went to Honda dealer and mechanic found shims in garbage he removed from one bike when he changed pads as new pads come with new shims. They didn't want any money for it. It was back in 2013.
Try to search cross-reference on net. That is how I did it back then.

Noticed this, seems to have the shim you're after still attached.
Just buy the whole thing
small money really if you haven't got sorted yet.
